中年常见心脑意外与急救

应大家要求，CCCCA于4月7日星期天下午4点在中文学校小礼堂举办"中年常见心脑意外与急救"讲座，特别邀请CCF 神经、心脏专家和急救培训师为我们科普常识，答疑解惑; 以期在紧急情况下冷静判断，施以援手，惠及家人及亲朋好友。

俄州中⽂文学校⾸首届“岚曦”杯联合识字⽐赛

异地同步，赛出友情，赛出⽔水平

俄州中⽂文学校⾸首届“岚曦”杯联合识字比赛成功举办

2018年年11⽉月18⽇日下午1时，是俄州海海外中⽂文教育历史上值得记录⼀一笔的激动⼈人⼼心的⼀一刻！来⾃自哥伦布、克利利夫兰、⾟辛⾟辛那提、代顿等地区的168名选⼿手纷纷⾛走进⾃自⼰己所在的中⽂文学校考场，打开随身携带的⼿手机、电脑、和iPad，陆续联⽹网、带上⽿耳机、登陆⽐比赛⽹网址，准备⼯工作就绪，⼀一场异地联合⽹网上同步识字⽐比赛开始了了！

 

    本次俄亥俄州⾸首届“岚曦”杯识字⼤大赛由俄亥俄现代中⽂文学校发起、南俄亥俄地区联络中⼼心和克利利夫兰地区联络中⼼心推动，在各校领导和⽼老老师们的⼤大⼒力力⽀支持、积极参与和共同组织之下，进⾏行行得红红⽕火⽕火。⽐比赛共收到来⾃自克利利夫兰当代中⽂文学校、⼤大⾟辛⾟辛那提中⽂文学校、俄亥俄现代中⽂文学校、华夏中⽂文学校、以及⻄西湖中⽂文学校的200多名选⼿手报名，其中⽐比赛当⽇日有效完成竞赛题⽬目的参赛选⼿手共计168名。他们当中，学⽣生年年龄最⼩小的只有5岁，年年龄最⼤大的17岁。在⽐比赛组委会精⼼心安排和组织下，分别按照五个⽔水平、年年龄和不不同等级分组⽐比赛。更多。。。

Chinese School Registration 中文学校注册 2018-19 

中文学校将于九月九日开学,第二，三，四周(即9月16号，23号和30号)收取学费。请带好学生注册信息表，在上述日子的下午2~5点在中文学校(小礼堂)交学费。拖至第五周(10月7号)交学费者，需加收20元注册费。超过六周未交费者，每周另加收$10。交完费后请将收据交给在读班的中文老师。谢谢合作!

Dear parents and students:


Welcome to CCCCA Chinese School. 2018-2019 school year starts on Sunday, September 9th 2018. 
The time is from 2:00pm to 5:30pm. 
The School address is Solon High School, 33600, Inwood Rd. Solon OH44139. 

For those new students, please review the following instructions:

1. Please go to the classrooms you are registered. The classroom assignment and teachers' names are posted in  http://school.cccca.org/progra ms.php, and also posted on Solon High School's hallway and walls. If you need help for the registration and assignment of classes, The Board directors are on site to assist.

2. The tuition will be collected from the second week September 16, till the forth week September 30 in Lecture Hall. On or after the fifth week October 7 $20 late fee will be applied. Additional $10 for every week will be applied after October 7. Only checks are accepted. Please make check pay to: CCCCA.

3. Text books are available in classrooms. Please have cash handy: $10 for textbook sets (including textbook and exercise booklets A & B), $6 for Pinyin (including Pinyin and 1 Exercise book).

4. At the first class, teacher will explain safety and discipline issues, set up communication with parents.

5. Class time:
period 1      2:00 to 2:50
10minutes recess
period 2      3:00 to 3:50
10minutes recess to change classrooms for cultural classes.
period 3      4:00 to 4:45
period 4      4:45 to 5:30 

6. Safety is our first priority. Please drop off your children at safe side walk outside of Swimming pool or Cafeteria. Pick up your children at their class end time. For any emergency or safety concerns please call the following numbers:

1 学生直接到教室。理事们在学校前台和小礼堂解答问题，指引新学生 到相应教室。
2 开学 第一天财务组不收费。第一天配合教务组解答问题、为个别无条件上 网家长指导注册。
3 教科书不零售、送到各班按需要给老师。统一收钱。
4 各班老师第一节课需要讲解纪律和安全事项、建立家长联系。
5 学校准备了放大学校平面图和路标、便于家长找到教室。

BREAKING THROUGH 突破

Chris Guo was a student and a TA of CCCCA Chinese School now a college student at Northwest University. His father, Dr. Guo had been serving CCCA as Board Director for over 8 years.

 

Chris’ book is an eye-opening option from our children, so called ABC. While we parents value education as our top priority, do we really know what our children think, how do they feel, what is success in their point of view?

 

Hopefully, this book will give some hint for us to better understand our Children.

2018华文教育名师巡讲团中北线克利夫兰站

2018年8月18日9：30am-5:00pm，“中北线华文教育名师巡讲团”在克里夫兰当代中国文化协会的文化活动中心，举办了针对全美中文学校协会克里夫兰地区联络中心所属会员学校的中文教学培训讲座。更多。。。

根深叶茂：概说中国文化- 远程培训走进克利夫兰 

4月18日上午，来自克利夫兰当代中文学校的教师以及当地汉语教育的热心人士在克利夫兰当代中国文化协会华人文化中心参加了来自上海师范大学对外汉语学院王澧华教授关于根深叶茂：概说中国文化的远程视频培训。王澧华教授主要从事对外汉语教学与研究工作，主编出版对外汉语本科教材《中国古代文学》。

此次远程培训是由上海市侨办主办，全美中文学校协会协办， 克利夫兰当代中文学校承办。培训紧紧围绕中国文化这一主题，涵盖了中国文化的起源，重点放在中国文化的外在形态，如常汉字，书画，古诗文，中医药。
随后，全美中文学校协会名誉会长克利夫兰当代中文学校理事长汤年发回顾了上海侨办与全美中文学校协会良好的合作关系，详细介绍了有关远程师资培训项目的情况。同时希望当地中文教师通过这一远程教育平台，更好的开展教学工作，促进当地中文教育水平提升，进一步增进中美文化交流，使业余教学正规化，系统培训规模化。课后参与培训的老师们踊跃提问，现场互动气氛热烈，课程受到了大家的一致好评。（徐彦芳 报道）

每年在全美各地约有1100多万中小学生参于一年一度的英文拼字(spelling bee)竞赛。选拔赛开始于班级到年级，校级，直至县级和区级。他们拥有一个共同的梦想：获得在华盛顿特区举行的全国拼字比赛参赛资格。然而，每年只有大约290名顶级选手将梦想变为现实。更多。。。

CCCCA student won PingPong Champion

在刚刚结束的 2017 Millcreek Open，Erie, PA - 美国乒乓协会举办的乒乓球比赛中. CCCCA 的学生 Kyle Dong 获得了U900组的冠军。
这是 Kyle 第二次参加 美国乒乓协会举办的比赛。一百多位选手分别来自 Pennsylvania, Ohio, Indiana, Michigan, New York, Toronto, 等地区。Kyle 在小组赛中以全胜战绩出线。 特别是在争夺小组第一的比赛中先以0:2。(5:11, 4:11) 落后，第三局叫暂停后艰难地14:12及12:10 扳回两局将比赛拖入决胜局， 第五局坚决贯彻教练布置的战术以11:4 胜出。赛后Kyle 说觉得自己要输，但是没有放弃。不但是战胜了自己， 也战胜了对手。表示从中学到很多，学会了如何克服逆境， 永不放弃。自己也获得了自信。
半决赛中同样以3:2 的微弱优势淘汰对手。决赛中一路高歌猛进，3:0 战胜来自 Strongsville 的16 岁选手，最终赢得冠军。
